Our Story

Baby Steps Foundation was born out of personal experience, resilience, and a deep desire to create change. Our founder, Kaylor Brown, knows firsthand what it feels like to face the challenges of incarceration, addiction, and mental health struggles. Having navigated those obstacles himself, he understands how critical guidance, opportunity, and community support can be in turning a life around.
Determined to help others take control of their own journeys, Kaylor Founded Baby Steps Foundation with a mission to empower individuals and families affected by similar challenges. Today, the Foundation provides youth development programs, workforce training, behavioral health support, substance abuse support, and reentry services giving people the tools, mentorship, and hope they need to rebuild their lives.
Baby Steps Foundation exists because every life deserves a second chance, every step forward matters, and lasting change is possible.
